Celebrate ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ Stampede 2022 with UÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ
The ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ Stampede kicks off in just over a week and Stampede-goers are welcoming back some of their favourite events for the first time since 2019.
The Stampede parade will once again march through the streets of downtown and the ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ is preparing for the return of the President’s Stampede Barbecue. UÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ is a proud partner of the ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ Stampede and is participating in numerous events on campus and around the city.

The ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ Stampede is once again offering the UÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ community a 20 per cent discount on select evening show tickets, which includes the GMC Rangeland Derby and the Bell Grandstand Show. Tickets also include admission to Stampede Park. &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

The Stampede parade will kick off the 10 days of festivities. Bring your family, show your UÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ pride and watch for Rex, the UC cheer squad, and the UÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ float led by new Chancellor Jon Cornish as the parade moves through the downtown core. Learn more about .
President’s Stampede Barbecue

The Stampede spirit is back on campus and President Ed McCauley invites you to enjoy a special lunch during the President’s Stampede Barbecue. Enjoy line dancing and live music around the campfire by Jaydee Bixby, an Albertan country singer, composer and 2007 Canadian Idol runner-up!
Watch your UÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ email for an invitation, and RSVP to attend. UÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ will once again be collecting donations for the SU Campus Food Bank and there will be a Stampede raffle in support of United Way during the event.
UÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ on the Stampede grounds
When you’re down on the grounds, make a visit to , located in the Nutrien Western Event Centre (NWEC) and Agriculture Barns. Students from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (UCVM) will host an interactive booth every day during Stampede featuring hands-on activities and demonstrations.
While you’re there, don’t miss a new feature in the NWEC’s Prime Time Program. Take part in UÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ trivia and see how well you know your university for a chance to win prizes! Trivia will take place during three very popular events: on Sunday, July 10, during Heavy Horse Show – World Champion Six Horse Hitch; on Thursday, July 14, during Heavy Horse Pull Heavy Weight Finals; and on Friday, July 15, during the Cowboy Up Challenge. .

Visit the Taylor Family Digital Library during the 10 days of Stampede to check out a special photo display on the digital screens, featuring historic Stampede photos from UÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµâ€™s digital archives.
Nickle Galleries is revisiting the long visual art history of the ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ Stampede with an exhibit of bronze sculptures in the foyer of the TFDL. In the adjacent Museo Gallery Shop, catalogues are available from the 2010 exhibition The Art of the ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ Stampede, which was hosted by Nickle Galleries and curated by Dr. Brian Rusted, PhD.
