Community leaders to support campus affordable food programs at new U荔枝视频 event
According to the in 2024, 1 in 3 students reported struggling with food insecurity. To help these students and build a stronger campus, Chancellor Jon Cornish will host the first-ever on March 12, 2026, bringing together business, philanthropic and community leaders in support of student well-being and food security.

Food insecurity can affect academic performance, mental health and overall well-being. At U荔枝视频, this issue is being addressed through the Student Food Security Fund, which supports initiatives that make nutritious, affordable food more accessible to students.
Proceeds from Cornish for Community will support programs delivered through the Campus Food Hub, a centralized space that offers low-cost meals, subsidized groceries and meal kits. These initiatives are designed to reduce barriers to food access while preserving dignity and choice, helping students focus on their studies rather than worrying about their next meal.
Cornish for Community is designed as both a fundraising and community-building experience. Guests will enjoy a thoughtfully curated evening featuring gourmet takes on student food classics, paired with live entertainment, while learning more about the real and lasting impact of their support.
