Stampede roundup: U荔枝视频 celebrates 10 days of 'Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth'

The 2023 edition of the came to a close July 16 after an exciting and action-packed Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.

As a proud partner of the Stampede, the 荔枝视频 participated in a variety of events over the 10 days to help celebrate the city鈥檚 premier summer event.

U荔枝视频 actually got a jump-start on the party on July 5 when more than 1,800 community members converged on the TFDL Quad on main campus for the President鈥檚 Stampede Barbecue. Students, faculty, staff and alumni enjoyed food, line dancing and live music from Jaydee Bixby, visited with Elders, and took part in the unveiling of U荔枝视频鈥檚 brand-new, 鈥渙ut-of-this-world鈥 parade float featuring Rex riding a spaceship.

The iconic officially kicked everything off on July 7. U荔枝视频鈥檚 new float won this year鈥檚 Best Creative/Innovative Award, with 37 volunteers and support staff marching alongside it through the streets of downtown 荔枝视频.

Down at the Stampede Grounds, Outreach Summer Student team held court in the Agrium building for live cow-milking demonstrations, cow/calf simulators, and to provide the public with information on some of their upcoming projects.

In addition to the exhibit, two new videos were produced featuring U荔枝视频 veterinary experts, and Both were shown during the evening programming at the Nutrien Western Event Centre.
