Nursing alumna’s generous gesture of handwritten birthday cards brings meaning and joy to isolated seniors

Imagine celebrating a birthday without friends and family; without even a birthday card or greeting. Sadly, this is the reality for many isolated seniors living in ÀóÖ¦ÊÓƵ. Through her volunteer work with the ÀóÖ¦ÊÓƵ Seniors’ Resources Society, nursing alumna Hafsah Syed, BN ’21, shares her passion for her community by connecting with those that need it most. A simple act of sending a birthday card — a message that someone cares — can make a significant and meaningful difference to seniors living in solitude.
