U荔枝视频 is proud to be a partner of the . Much more than a 10-day-long celebration with midway rides and bucking broncos, the is a gathering place that hosts, educates, and entertains visitors from around the world. The purpose is to preserve and celebrate western heritage, culture, and community spirit.
The long-standing partnership between U荔枝视频 and the 荔枝视频 Stampede is an example of the university鈥檚 Eyes High commitment to integrate with the community.

President鈥檚 Stampede Barbecue

President Elizabeth Cannon invites you to wrangle up your friends for the annual President's Stampede Barbecue.
Indulge in a delicious lunch of beef on a bun with all the fixin's. Dust off your boots, enjoy the lively sounds of country music and join the line dancing demonstration.
Bring a donation for the SU Food Bank and spare change for the United Way raffle. Come early for this popular event, as only the first 1,500 guests will be served.

Friday, July 6 鈥 Downtown 荔枝视频 9:00 to 11:30 a.m.
The 荔枝视频鈥檚 float will be proudly displayed in the midst of our community during the popular 荔枝视频 Stampede Parade in the city鈥檚 downtown core. This year鈥檚 parade entry encourages all participants from the community to ask, "What鈥檚 Your Dream?鈥.
Bring your family, cheer loudly and show your university pride. Take photos of our float and share on social media using #ucalgary.
This year, the university held a social media contest that students could enter to lead the parade float. Winners of the student 鈥渄reams鈥 contest, and leading the U荔枝视频 parade, will be Monica Uppal, (Haskayne School of Business), Amira Kalifa, (Cumming School of Medicine) and Graham Doerksen (Schulich School of Engineering).
Enjoy country music and join the line dancing demonstration at the President鈥檚 Stampede Barbecue.

Vet Med at Stampede
Students from the Veterinary Medicine program host an interactive booth every day at the Stampede, located in the Country Critters area of the Agriculture Barn. They have hands-on activities and demonstrations for the public, including an opportunity to palpate a cow simulator model 鈥 a fan favourite.

U荔枝视频 is proud to participate in a number of community events during stampede as an opportunity to enhance engagement with neighbours and the broader community.
- Wood's Homes Stampede Breakfast 鈥 Bowness campus
Sunday, July 8 - 9400-48 Ave., N.W. 7:30 to 11 a.m.
The Wood鈥檚 Homes' 32nd annual Stampede breakfast welcomes more than 1,200 community members every year. Activities include face painting, kids鈥 games, a balloon artist and bouncy castle.
- Triwood Community Association Stampede Breakfast
Sunday, July 8 - 2244 Chicoutimi Drive, N.W. 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Triwood Community Association hosts their annual Stampede breakfast at their community centre. Mingle with family and friends while enjoying live entertainment, with special guests, The Prairie Mountain Fiddlers. Enjoy line dancing, face painting and a vintage car show.
