How to pay your fees
The 荔枝视频 accepts payments for application fees and deposits, academic fees, as well as residence and meal plans. You can make payments right in your Student Centre (my.ucalgary.ca) using Flywire.

To make paying fees easier, we鈥檝e partnered with Flywire, a secure, convenient and easy-to-use global payment platform. Flywire is our preferred payment method for Canadian and international students and is accessed right in your Student Centre.

If you鈥檙e making a payment from within Canada, Flywire offers several payment options. Some options may include service fees, and processing times vary by method.

Online banking is a payment option for anyone who holds a Canadian bank account. This is available for both domestic and international students. Payments are processed by your financial institution and can be made from any Canadian bank account. Funds will be applied to your U荔枝视频 account within five business days.

Create a payee profile
Add the 鈥溊笾κ悠 鈥 Tuition Fees鈥 as a payee on your bill payment profile (the payee name will vary from bank to bank). If the payee is not immediately obvious, try searching for variations of the 荔枝视频 (UCal, UoC, UofC, etc.), and 鈥渢uition鈥.
Please ensure you are making payments for tuition and general fees separately from payments for residence charges. A separate residence payee (exact name will vary) and banking transaction is required to pay residence related charges.

Enter your account Information
The account number is your eight-digit U荔枝视频 ID number (UCID) and the first five letters of your last name. If your name is less that five letters, include the full last name. Do not include any special characters, such as spaces or hyphens. For example:
Jane Smith (UCID: 00486321), would use the account name: 00486321SMITH
Francis Zimmerman (UCID:10005238) would use the account name: 10005238ZIMME
Sara Sam (UCID:00123456) would use the account name: 00123456SAM

Allow for processing time
It can take up to five business days for online payments to be processed and posted to your student account. Payment that are received after the payment due date are subject to late interest.
Admission deposit and application payments must be initiated by the deposit/application deadline to ensure your application or offer of admission is not cancelled.
When paying your fees with Canadian online banking, you will have to create a payee for the transaction.
There is one U荔枝视频 payee for the Academic account, which includes tuition/general fees, admission deposits, application fees and payment plan installments. There is a separate U荔枝视频 payee for the residence account for room fees and meal plans.

International students who do not hold a Canadian bank account can also pay their fees by a bank-to-bank transfer or credit card through Convera Global Pay for Students. Payment by major credit card has additional processing fees charged by the provider.
All fees can be paid through Convera global pay for students, including the following: Academic fees - admission deposits, application and tuition and general fees. Residence fees, including meal plans.

Please note: When making a payment through Convera, please be advised all transactions to and from are not permitted. If your bank country is not listed on the Convera payment portal, you will need to choose another method of payment not through the Convera portal.

Select the items you wish to pay for
Select the country that the payment will be originating from, then select the items you wish to pay for and input the amount. One payment can be made for both tuition and residence, as long as each payment type is selected.
Please note: Due to banking regulations, not all currencies are available. If your home currency is not offered, you can pay in another currency, such as the US dollar.

There are no additional fees for selecting the Bank Transfer / Bank Wire options, aside from the exchange rate. An additional convenience fee of will be added to any credit card payments. This fee is placed by the service provider, not the 荔枝视频.

Complete the student / payor details and payment
To avoid delays in processing, please ensure you accurately input the student details.
If using a bank transfer / bank wire option, print off the instruction sheet and bring it to your local bank. They will be able to facilitate the transaction. Alternatively, the transaction can be completed with an online banking service.
If opting to use a credit card, the transaction can be completed entirely online.

Paying your fees with RESPs, awards and sponsor payments
Students withdrawing funds from a Registered Education Savings Plan are often required to submit a Confirmation of Registration Letter to have their funds released. This letter is available for purchase in the Student Centre.鈥

If you receive external awards/scholarships/bursaries, these are not considered third party sponsors and cannot be invoiced by U荔枝视频 for external payment.
U荔枝视频 can take payments by external awards agencies through the payment methods outlined above or physical cheque.

If paying by external award agency cheque, submit payment as soon as possible, preferably no later than 30 days prior to the start of the term to avoid payment posting delays to the student account.
Payment by external agency cheque can take up to 4 weeks for processing, students are accountable for any holds or late interest incurred due to the processing time for external agency payments. Payments must be posted on your my.ucalgary.ca account on or before the term fee deadline for it to be considered on-time.

Students may have their education being paid in whole by a third party, with minimal exclusions, such as government agencies, companies, First Nations/Metis/Inuit groups or other organizations.
Sponsorship payments will only be accepted for active invoices sent from Finance to sponsors directly through the formal Third Party sponsorship process. Application fees, deposit fees, group study program fees and late interest charges cannot be included in the sponsorship agreement.

Each term you are sponsored, you must upload a sponsor letter via a student service request Third Party Sponsorship application. This application becomes available after accepting your offer and pay the deposit fee.

Acceptable methods of payments are outlined above: Online banking, CIBC Student Pay, and Convera Global Pay.
Personal cheques, money orders and bank drafts are not accepted as a form of payment. Cheques are accepted if they are from an External Award agency or from a Third-Party Sponsor with an active invoice. Personal cheques, money orders and bank drafts sent to Enrolment Services will be returned to the sender.
In-person payments of any kind are not accepted at U荔枝视频.

If you are unable to pay the full amount of tuition and general fees by the term fee deadline, then the Payment Plan may be considered. If you are paying fees by direct debit, EFT or wire transfer through CIBC Student Pay or Convera Global Pay, a payment plan may not be ideal given the processing times involved in transferring funds. Yes. You can share a secure payment link from within your student center to pay the deposit/application/academic or residence fees. Fees can also be paid on your behalf through the alternate payment methods outlined above.
