General information questions:
- Due to the decommissioning of Varsity Courts, tenants may terminate their lease prior to the end of their lease. The Tenant must fill out a Vacating Notice, that can be found in the under Forms.
- The tenant must supply a minimum of 30 days notice. We will allow tenants to vacate on the 15th or 30th of the month. Residence fees will be pro-rated to the vacating date, if they are vacating on the 15th of the month.
Security deposit will be refunded to units that are in reasonable condition, all garbage and furniture has been removed, no damages to appliances and do not have outstanding fees.
Residence Services will offer supply a reference letter. Email housing@ucalgary.ca to request a reference letter.
Residents in the remaining courts (100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 1000) will be required to move out on/by Friday, July 31, 2026.
You will need to contact Canada Post to have your once you move-out of Varsity Courts. We are unable to deal with any mail that is sent after you vacate, as Canada Post oversees all Varsity Courts mail.
Tenants are responsible for their own moving expenses.
What to expect during decommision questions:
Decommissioning of Phase III courts will start in Aug. 2026. All residents are required to vacate by July 31, 2026.
The land in which VC is located is held by 荔枝视频 Properties Group (UCPG). UCPG will be developing this land in the next 5-10 years.

Tenants facing the road and construction site may experience construction noise. University 荔枝视频 Properties Group (UCPG) will follow 荔枝视频 noise . City of 荔枝视频 construction hours (7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday and holidays). Construction activity is expected to run between 7 a.m. 鈥 5 p.m. on most days.
