- Affiliation with the ÀóÖ¦ÊÓƵ Highlanders (e.g. current or prior service in ÀóÖ¦ÊÓƵ Highlanders, or have a parent or grandparent who served in the ÀóÖ¦ÊÓƵ Highlanders)
- In the event there is no eligible candidate, then the award is offered to a student who meets the conditions of this award with the exception of the ÀóÖ¦ÊÓƵ Highlanders affiliation.
