Receiving award payment
Meet the requirements
To receive your award payment, you must continue to meet the award terms of reference as outlined on your award notification and in your Student Centre:
- Log in to Student Centre
- Select My Financials
- Click View/Accept/Decline Awards
- Select the year of the award
- Click View Details for the corresponding award
How your award is paid
Check your award notification for details on how your award will be paid. The notification will include:
- If the payment is split into two portions or if it's disbursed all at once
- Whether the payment is applied to your fees or paid out to you directly
- When the amount is applied to your account and/or paid to your bank account, and
- Deadline to submit your direct deposit information
How to view your award payment
Follow these steps to see how your award payment has been applied to your account:
- Log in to Student Centre
- Select My Financials
- Click Payments below your Account Summary
- Click the amount for the corresponding award to see how it was used
- If you do not see your award on your Payments page, it has not been applied to your account yet; refer to your award notification for timeline.
- If an award or part of an award has not been used against your Academic or Residence fees, it would show “unapplied”. If it remains unapplied close to your refund date, it will be paid out to your bank account.
- If the amount is not clickable, it means there is no outstanding charges for it to be applied against, and is waiting for the refund to be processed.
- If an amount is refunded to you, it would show “payout of scholarship refunds”.
Your award status may show “disbursed” before your direct deposit date. This means your award has been applied to your account. It does not mean that you should have received a refund in your bank. Refunds will only occur on the direct deposit date, and only if you have excess award funds that have not been used against your fees.
How to set up direct deposit
To receive a payout of scholarship refund, you must provide your banking information:
- Log in to your Student Centre
- Select My Financials
- Select Submit Direct Deposit Info to add, review or update your banking details
Payments may be delayed if your banking information is missing or outdated.
